The corporate headquarters for Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, is a great space. The 200,000 sq. foot, 5 story building, is a showplace completely filled with Haworth Architectural Interiors (walls and floors), furniture, cabling / power, lighting, seating, and ancillary products. Pilgrims’ corporate culture values its people; however, their current offices were filled with a hodge podge of various furniture products and manufacturers; a company who had grown rapidly with no overall plan in mind. The management team embraced the concept of creating an efficient space and work environment while also planning for future growth and change through the use of Haworth Adaptable Interiors. Branding was extremely important: Haworth was able to provide unique branding techniques using carved logos in the Haworth wood casegoods and other areas throughout the facility.
The actual timing of this project was relevant (Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation had recently purchased ConAgra’s chicken operations making them the largest company in the poultry production industry - US and internationally); therefore, Haworth’s Global capabilities and leverage were of great interest. They were excited that their Haworth Global Account could be accessed by any of their other subsidiaries around the world. This was a tremendous selling point for add on smaller orders which were totally separate from the headquarters building.
